What an amazing week!!:)

Hey everybody! Im very happy here in Lebanon. This week Im going to do something a little different  because doing the letters day by day takes forever and they seem to be a little too long each week. I also dont really like it all that much. Haha. So instead,  Im going to list off a few of my favorite parts of the week and share a couple of really awesome experiences I had this week.

We had new missionary orentaion this week and I loved it. New missionary orentaiton is just when a bunch of new  missionaries come together and the president and his wife and the presidents assistants do some training. We focused alot about how we can be better companions and how we can see gof become better missionaries. :)  During the meeting I got to see some of the best people who I`ve gotten to know well over the first three weeks in the MTC. My MTC district! I was so excited to see them because I had missed them all so much. Definitely one of the highlights of the week. Not gonna lie. ;) Another highlight of that day was that I found my camera! I have been looking for it sense I arrived in Tennessee. Sense we were in knoxville that day for the new missionary orentation we went over to the hotel that I stayed in my first night there and asked them if they had seen a pink camera and they had it! Crazy thing is that they had found it in the sheets after it was takin out of the washer and my camera still worked!! It still had my pictures and stuff on it. Tendor mercy right there!:)

I finally got to meet Cynthia this week as well! We havnt been able to see her in a while because she had got poison ivy and she was just waiting for it to heal.  Cynthia is so cute she is actually on date for baptism for October 24 which is awesome! Sister Knegt and her old companion met her by trying to go over to her house and teach her sister who doesnt live there anymore and just ended up teaching her. :) her testimony is already so stong and is growing so fast. Angel and Lucas are doing great! Angel came to church on sunday! She seemed to really feel comfortable there because everyone was going up and talking to her which was fantastic. She seemed to really have enjoyed it too. :)

Sam and Judy are doing awesome! They are coming to church every sunday and are loving it! We havnt gotten to meet with them for a while ether because they were out of town for the eclipse. A couple weeks ago they asked if we drank coffee and tea over text message and we tried to explain to them the best we can. After that they were really confused but during there camping trip they had a friend with them who happend to be LDS! He talked with them for hours and answered alot of there questions! We were able to meet with them on friday and teach them the word of wisdom and they understood what we were teaching them and accepted our invitation to live the word of wisdom without any concerns. The lord has definetly been looking out for them. :)

We also gained 3 new investigators this week! We are teaching Rachel tonight! So that is awesome! I have definitely seen the lords hand this week. He has blessed us in so many ways. Im so grateful that I can be out here serving him!

Love you all!!

Sneak Peak of Next Week :)

Mericals mericals mericals!!!

Hi y'all!!
This week was really good. I saw a lot of blessings  come our way this week. We didnt really do a lot of tracting this week because of Zone Confrence and Exchanges. Can I just say that I loved exchanges. They where so fun. It was nice little get away this week.  The work has been pretty slow. But its been good!

Monday, Pday!! In my opinion best day of tne week! (Geuss that movie!) I love Pdays because it is a day were we get to relax and take a little bit of a break haha. After we were done with the imporant stuff like laundry and shopping We went over to Natalie's house and we played some games and wrote emails. So fun! We were there for most of the day because we didnt have hardly anything going on.  Later that night we went back over and had FHE. Angel and Lucas had a couple of questions that we didnt know how to answer. So we talked about them and went into pretty deep doctorine stuff. Haha it was pretty intresting.

Tuesday, Service day! In the morning we did our usual studyying sessions the one thing that I learnt while I've been on my mission is that we do a lot of studying. We usually do about three or so hours a day. Its all good though :) after we were done getting ready and done with our studying we went out and tracted for about an hour. We went over to Boogies house after :) he needed some help putting lights on his trailer so we went over and helped him with that. We didnt get quite done with that because we had a dinner apointment with Polly(a lady in our word) what a great cook. We had fried chicken, mac and cheese and mashed patatos. It was so yummy! After the dinner apt with Polly we went back over to Boogies and helped him finnish putting up his lights. This morning during companion study we read a talk by pres. Dallan H. Oaks. It was really good. Man I wish I remember what it called. It talked alot about missons.

Wednesday, the first thing we did was we read the BOM with with Boogie. He is understanding it a lot better which is good. We had to clean out our car tosay because the next day was Zone Confrence. Cleaning out our car probably  took us about an hour to do. Aftrr that we did a little bit of tracting again and went to another dinner appointment. People in the south sure do love to feed you. :) we went out to eat this time. We went to a thai food place. I have to say that was my first time ever trying Thai food. Right after dinner we had a lesson with Angel and Lucas. They are doing great! They are starting to really understand the gospel. During our lesson we read a little bit of The Book of Mormon with them. The lesson went good :)  after that we went back home and went to bed.

Thursday, Zone Confrence and exchanges!! We had to wake up at 5:00am to head over to zone confrence. Which was about 2 hours away. Zone confrence was so fun it lasted from 9:00-3:00 long day. Haha but it was really good. After Zone Confrence  we had Exchanges! We stayed the night in rockwood and hung out with the Sister Training leaders. After Zone confrence we switched off companions for the day and went tracting. We were tracting for about 2 hours.  One cool thing that happend today we were coming out of the gas station and we started to talk to this man he immediately started to ask us "So, what do I do to become a mormon?" Sis. Jarvis and I looked at each other and was like what?? We gave him a book of mormon and a restoration pamphlet and talked alittle bit about it. So cool. After that we went back to sis. Jarvis and Sis. Johnsons apt. We read the book of mormon together and ordered Pizza! Haha it was fun.

Friday, for excersizing Sis. Johnson and I did yoga. Which was a blast :) hard but good. :) After we were done with our morning routine stuff we went over to Jimmy Johns for lunch. I had my usual ham and cheese sandwhich. After that we took some pictures and said goodbye to Sis. Johnson and Sis. Jarvis. From Cookville it took us about an hour to get home. After we got home we started our weekly planning. We started at 3:30 and didnt finnish until about 8:30. It took so long. We went to bed right after that. We were so tired.

Saturday, we went to Sister Rocks birthday party. I got to play sister keefe's flute. I then relized how long its been sense I picked it up because I sounded aweful! Haha. After Sister Rocks bday party we had a lesson with Cynthia. One of our investigators on a baptismal date. Shes a cutie. I really like her. We taught her about temples and how families can be together forever. It went really well actually. After that we went back to our apts and worked on our ward correlation emails. We had time were we could take a half hour nap. It was so awesome. Haha. We then did comp. Inventory. And then we were asked to teach relief society the next day. It was alright though.

Sunday: I think sunday is the best day of the week out here in the mission field. We had to teach Relief Society. It went really well considering the fact that we found out the night before and prepared like a half hour before haha. I was really excited because a lot of people were giving comments.sis. Knegt was flipping through the hymn book and stopped at Did you think to prey and decided to pick that. After which a lady commented and said that she was having a pretty bad week and daid thank you so much for chosing that song and asked us how we knew she needed it. It was pretty awesome :) after church we went home and had lunch and did a little bit of studying. When we were outside studying we saw this guy and decied to go and talk to him. We told him  couple things about our church and gave him a BOM. It was pretty great. After talking with him we went over to our lesson with Caitlyn. It went really well. We taught her about temples. It was really difficult to teach her because she is 9. After caitlyns lesson we had dinner with the stewarts. It was good. Sister stewart cooked us burgers and hotdogs. We shared them a video about gratitute.

I know that this church is true. I know that the savior died for us so that we can be forgiven for our sins. I know that the lord sent me out here for a reason and not so I can fail. I hope you have an amazing week
I Love y'all!

OMGosh I`VE BEEN ON MY MISSION FOR A MONTH!!!! ๐Ÿ™Š

Hello my dear family and friends! I hope you all had a wonderful week such as I did. :) This week was just a little bit crazier than usual but it wasnt to bad. I've been missin` y'all like crazy latly but i just gotta keep reminding myself to keep pressing forward and to never give up :)

Monday:
First pday in the feild!!! It was really nice becauss we wernt really all that busy. We got everything that we needed to get done around like 2:30. I was so hapoy because i got to take a 2 hour nap. Which we hardly have anytime to do. Later that day we went over to the Wresbrooks (A family in our ward)  for FHE we just hung out and helped boogie out with him getting ready for the presthood. It was pretty fun. :) we wanted to do some sight seeing but sense we dont really have that many miles that we could put on our car we couldnt go. Which was pretty sad but it was okay. Oh funny story so at walmart we saw a guy with the cutest puppy ever somwe wemt over to talk to him but as soon as we started going over there the we noticed that he was peeing by his car! Gross! I geuss thats what people so in the south sometimes haha

Tuesday:
We went out to lunch today with Boogie. We had mexican food. It was actually pretty good. After we finnished our lunch. After we had lunch we did some service over at Brendas. We were there doing yard work from 2:30-6:00 it was one of the longest days ever just because it was so hot and humid. But it was okay. After service at brendas we went to a ladies house (dont remember her name) who we are helping her quit smoking. Sis Knegt and I are doing a program with her to help her. Then we wemt back to our apartment had dinner and got ready for bed.

Wednesday:
Sister Knegt, Elder Hess, Elder Peterson and I went and read the BOM with Boogie. It is usually hard to get out of there because he talks ALOT. Haha he is pretty funny though. After that we went over to betty's house (a less active member in our church) and shared her a little message. It was kind of hard to feel the spirit because her kids are so Wroughty and wild. But they are in like in 2nd grade. But what i thought was pretty cool was that she wanted us to come back and teach her some more :) after her lesson we went and had a lesson with Sam and Judy. Judy really reminds me of my aunt Kay :) we taught same and judy about temples because in sacrament meeting people who were baring their testimony were talking about going to the temple and judy leaded over to us and asked  what a temple was. During the lesson i really felt the spirit. They asked us "even if we've  been married for 48 years can we still get sealed?" I thought it was amazing becauae they were so excjted when we told them of course. After the lesson we just went back to our aptartment and went to bed.

Thursday:
It was a busier day than usual today. We had a district meeting and we talked about the presthood and kind of learned how to teach it. After district meeting we went out to lunch with the whole district. We went to Davids Pizza. It was okay. I think little ceasers is way better. We had a lesson with Angel and Lucas. We are a little bit Worried about Angel only because she isnt understanding anything. (Mainly the BOM) we talked to them about prophets. I think it went pretty well. They seemed to have understood our lesson. After our lesson we went and had dinner with the Dickersons. The dickersons are an amazing family. So sweet. They made us Tator Tot caserol with rolls and a salad. It was really really good. We shared a message about service. As we where headed out the door we noticed that we had missed a call. We called him back and he had some questioms abkut what are perpose in life was and wanted to know when our church service started. He said that he would like us to come teach him some things. I was like wow we got a new investigator!! Hana

Friday:
Weekly planning! We littarly spend at least 3 or so hours doing just weekly plannning. It takes for ever! After wekly planning we went and read with boogie again. So that went okay. We then went and meet with Sister Griffen. Sister Griffen is a older lady who is probably in her late 70's. She had a stroke and is really slow at respodpnding to questions. We went adhead and shared a message about the word of god. It was good. :) funny story. I thought they picked sharing a scripture on line so i bore my testimony on that. I then relized that they picked reading the BOM together with her grandson. Hha i was really emabrresed after word. But was good because i dont think they noticed lol.

Saturday:
The month mark of being a full time missionary! I think that is just crazy to me. Sister Knegt and I did a lot of service tosay. We helped Jaymie and Ellic feed their sheep and helped them out with the firehall Jam. We helped them set up and wrapped the hamburgers and hot dogs. On our way back home we were stopped by this guy who just happend to be looking at our name tags. He asked us a couple of questoons about our church and we gsve him a card and went back home. It was a really cool. We had another lesson with Angel and Lucas today. We shared with them a talk about the BOM. I dont remember who spoke but it was cool because Angel had just happened to recored one of the sessions in general confrence and that was one of the talks that she remembered! Wow!

Sunday:
One of the most busiest days this week. We went to church and studied for a little while and then headed over to one of our investigators, Catlyn. Catlyn is 9 and already is a member of the church. Her parents wanted the missionaries to tea h her  so that she can still understand things. She is the cutest. It was really hard to teach her because we need to figurre out ways we can teach it simply enough for her to understand. After catlyns lesson we went over and visted with the smiths. That family is awesome. I feel so bacd for them because they have had so many hard trials come there way. We shared them a scripture that seemed to really help them and told them we were praying for them. After which we went and  tracted for a little while. After that we went home. And went to bed.

I hope ya`ll have an amazing week!!

I dont think were in Utah anymore Toto. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Hello family and friends!!! My first area is the Labanon Tennessee North area!! Ive only been here for 5 days and i absalutly love it. The people here are so sweet.I love my trainor Sister Knegt. (Ca.nnect) She is so so sweet. Sis. Knegt is from Orange County California. Which i thought was really cool! This week i have seen many mericals happen.

Heres how my week went:

7/31/17 (Monday)
The last day of classes at the mtc. It was really sad because i gotten to grow and love my district and i knew i will miss all of them. In Brother Griffiths Class we practiced tracting.  (for those of you who do not know what tracting is its were you go and knock on doors and teach the gospel from there porch) It was really intresting to practice that because we wernt at an actual front door. But it was good to practice because so you know what to say when they answer the door. After all of our classs we went to dinner and did some laundry. Because we left on a tuesday which was our pday we got to do laundry early and email our family and friends early as well which was nice! That night our district got together for the last time and I cried becauase i was going to miss all of them. During our meeting we played what are the odds. One of the Elders dared Elder Alm to chew on a piece of grass and moo like a cow. He did it of course and some of the sisters walked by and just stared at him like he was crazy. Lol it was so funny.

8/1/17 ( Tuesday)
FIRST DAY  IN THE FIELD!!!!! This morning we had to get up at 3:00am because we had to be at the travel office at 3:45. It was really hard to get up that early. I think I only had maybe 3 hours of sleep that night because the sisters in our room kept talking and stuff which was okay because i wasnt really that tired. We got to the airport about 5:00am and went through security. We had about a 2 hour wait until our flight left at 8:00 to go to Antlanta. That flight I think was about 3 hours. So it wasnt to bad of a flight. The antlanta airport is really cool because there is this one hallway were its like a jungle and there is fake birds flying in the roof. In the Atlanta Gorgia airport I got to talk to my parents! It was really nice to be able to talk to them again. Later on we borded our flight that took us to Knoxville. I have to say that flight from georgia to knoxville was one of the most shortest flights ive ever been on.  It was only a 28 min flight. We were then picked up by our mission president and his wife and taken to the mission office to check in and head to the mission home. The mission president and his wife cooked us pulled pork sandwhiches. They were so yummy. After dinner we had a get to know you meeting and went to our hotel that we stayed in that night.

8/2/17 (Wednesday)
Today was my first full day in the field. We went to the church and took some pictures with president pickett and his wife. After which we had a little meeting. I got to meet my tranior Sister Knegt! She is so nice and we get along really well. That night i taught my first lesson to Sam and Judy. We taught them the plan of salvation. I cried when i bore my testimony to them because I felt the spirit so much They are an older couple that are probably in there 70s. They are the sweetest people. Sam is just thursty for knowledge which is great and he is an amazing cook. At our lesson that night he cooked Sister Knegt, Sister Kefe (one of the sisters in our ward) dinner. We had spegettii squash and Sam said that he was cooking his sauce all day.  I thought it was really sweet of them to do that. After the lesson and dinner with Sam and Judy we went back to our apt and went to bed.

8/3/17 (Thursday)
This was my first official full day in the mission field. We got up and excersiced and got ready for the day. At 11:00 we had a district meeting. Our district is tiney compared to my district in the MTC. We only have 4 elders and us sisters. So there is 6 of us in total. In our district meeting we talked about tithing and fast offerings. It was really good. Our district leaders name is Elder Macdonald. Hes such a nice guy. He has been out for about a year and a half. We also talked about what went well during our week and how many baptisimal dates we have. And just talked abouf our new investigators.  After the distroct meeting we went back to our apt. To finnish unpacking and then went tracting. It was a pretty cool experance. It was really scary because it was my first time ever doing that. Funny story we tried to give someone a book of mormon and he all the sudden started to cast out the devil on us. He kept saying that is the wrong book and grabbed our hand and started shouting. So that was a great first experiance. I keep praying for that man that one day he will realize that the book of mormon is the word of god.

8/4/17 ( Friday)
We read the book of mormon with Boogie today!! Boogie is a recent convert to the church for about a year now. Boogies real name is Cary but he doesnt like his real name so everyone just calls him Boogie. Boogie had just quit smoking and hes still going on strong for about 2 weeks now he hasnt had a cigarette.  Which is awesome! After reading with boogie we went and ate lunch and went to a member apointment with the Beaty`s. They are so nice. They are a young coiple who just barly got married about a month ago. There probably in there late 20s or early 30s. We shared a video about hope and bore our testimonies about hope and how it can really keep you going. After the beatys we stopped by a less actives members house and we shared with them a message about christ and invited them to go to church with us. It was pretty cool. On our way home to our apt. I got to see my first ever lightning bug!! It was pretty dang cool.

8/5/17 (Saturday)
Many mericales happened today. When we went tracting we coukdnt get very many people to listen to us. As soon as we were going to go back to the car we stopped at a house and knocked on the door we wated for a bit but it didnt seem like no one was home as soon as we started to walk a way a older man whos name is Chris which is probably in his 60s came out. We found out that he got into drugs and did some pretty bad things in the past but he is over them now. We showed him a video about how our church brings us peace. We gave him a book of Mormon. He kept saying " this is exactly what i needed. Thank you" i wish so badly that we can teach him what we know but sense he lives with 3 other guys we arnt aloud in. So we are just going to refure him to the elders to come and teach him. So that was a pretty amazing experience

8/6/17 (Sunday)
First sunday in the field. We woke up at 6:30 and got ready for the day and then went off to church. Church was really good. During sacrament. I got this strong feeling that i needed to bare my testimony because i was told that it made a really goos first impression to the ward members.for those of you who know me know that i do not like  to bare my testimony innsacrament meeting. But i did it anyways. After church we went back to our apartment and did a little bit of studying.  Then headed out to see some people. We saw the brownings which are members from our ward. We shared them a video about gratatude and asked them to make a gratetude list. It was pretty cool.

I absalutely love being a missionary. I just wanted to bare you guys my testimony that i know that this church is true and i know that our savior died on the cross for us so that our dins can be forgiven. Ever sense i had been out here i can tell that my testimony is growing stronger and im geting closer to god each day.
I miss and love you all so very much and i hope you have an amazing rest of the week!!

Week 3 (Rough... but good in the end:)

Hey y`all! Sense im leaving to head out to tennessee early tomorrow morning, we get to write our emails early!!! Yay!!! :) this week was one of the most hardest weeks here in the mtc. I've had so many amazing spiritual experiences and learning experinces This week.I forgot to tell y'all last week sadly Elder Springer had to go home. We were all prety sad about it. But he said he would come back out in 6 months from now.
Anyway im sure you would like to hear how my week went so lets get into it.

 7/25/17 (Tuesday)
Pday!!! Today was really busy. We woke up at 5:15 in the morning to do laundry. Every time we go at 6:30 its always full and it was still full at 5:15! crazy! After we were done with our laundry and writing our families we finally got to go to the temple! It made my day because I was having a pretty rough day that day. After we were done with the temple we went to go pick up our packages and went back to our residents hall until dinner. We went to a devotional that night and  choir practice. We sang in the MTC Choir  It was pretty cool. After the devotional we went back to our classroom and I got a blessing from Elder Lingwall and Elder Whitby. Elder Lingwall said it and he is freaking amazing. His testimony is so strong. I felt the spirit so much and I litterally can feel Jesus Christ  wrapping his arms around me. It was an amazing experiance. As soon as Elder Lingwall said Amen. I felt at peace. It was incredible.

7/26/17 (Wednesday)
I had a little bit  of a better day today exept we had to wake up early again to do service. We cleanned the bathrooms which they were so gross! After we were done with the bathrooms we had to vacuume the halls. In class Brother Griffiths (our teacher) had us do some more street contacts and teach different people. I loved it. Later that night I had to talk to the branch president. Can I just say I honestly love my district. My whole district came with me to the meeting to support me. I thought that was sooo nice of them. I told them that they didnt have to come but they wanted too. After I talked to president Redding I felt so much better. He told me to go and read my patriarticle blessing. I got this reasurance that I was ment to be here. It was a pretty great experience. Before my blessing we had TRC's again it went pretty well. Sis. Dekarver and I felt the spirit so much. It was crazy. So I think that it went pretty well.

7/27/17 (Thursday)
In Brother Griffiths class this morning we did a pretend chapel tour with just our district. We went around our building were we have class in and talked about where things were and what we did.It was pretty awesome. I felt the spirit so much. Oh Michelle and Kevin thank you so much for the package! I loved it!

7/28/17 (Friday)
Today was infield Orentation today. It was good. Way long though! We got there at 8:15 and it didnt get out tell 5:30. It was crazy. It just basically talked about how we can become better missionaries. I learned a lot. towards the end they put on a little skit and I thght it was so funny. It just talked about what we do the first couple of days in the field. Im so excited but really nervous. We had our last lesson with Makayla today. It went prettywell we taught her avot the ten commandments and the word of wisdom. In our district meeting that night. Elder Alm was undoing the votton on his suit and Elder Stritikus yelled "Not the bottons not my gumdrop buttons!" it was so funny.

7/29/17 (Saturday)
Today inour class we wet outside and we did an activity were we had t close our eyes and teach the plan of salvation. If th investigatgor got lost dring our lesson they stepped back. It was so fun but really intense. In sister Petrie's class we talked about humility and charity. During the end of class we had a little mini testimony meeting. Everyone was crying during it. The spirit was so strong. We then had TRC's that night and it was our last day meeting with Candice. She didnt show up at all it was pretty sad.

7/30/17 (Sunday)
All the departing districts in our zone had to sing in sacrament meeting. It was really pretty. We sang "I Stand All Amazed" it was so gorgous. After relief society. After that we went to the departing devotional it was pretty good. It mostly talked about music and how music brings the spirit. We then went back to our residency buildings and got ready for bed. Right before we went to sleep. The sisters in our room armed wrestled Sister Miller. Dang. She is strong! im going to miss the girls in my room so much theyre so sweet.

Yeah, thats pretty much how my week went! I am so excited to get out into the field and teach, serve and love the people in knoxville!

Love and miss you lots!!!
