Exchanges/zone confrence! :)

Hello my dear family and friends!

I hope y'all are doing well! This week was really good. We had exchanges this week and zone confrence! Which was a blast! I learned a lot from both of them. This week was also the womens session of general confrence. I really loved that as well! What's sad is that I think that was my first time watching that part of General confrence. I was probably either working or didint know when it was. Haha  anyways, heres how my week went. :)

We had Zone Confrence this Tuesday, and one of the members of the 70 came and spoke to us. It was Elder Curtis. He spoke a lot about the BOM and how we can gain a bigger and better testimony of it. One of the missionaries had asked him, "when was the time you first gained a testimony of the BOM?" He said that when you read the BOM, dont just read it. Study it. One of the ways that really helped him was that he prayed after every verse and asked God if this was the true word of god. That really stuck out to me because you cant know if something is true if you dont ask God.

We were in Cookeville all day on Wednesday and half of the day on Tuesday for exchanges. It was a blast. I was with Sister Johnson who is such a sweetheart  We mostly did tracting on Wednesday which went okay. Every person we tried to contact that day was busy. Which was a bummer. But it was a lot of fun. My goal for Exchanges/Power ups was to give out a BOM. I finally handed one out the very last door we went to and  this older lady answerd. She didnt really seem very intrested but I ended up handing her a BOM anyway because I felt really prompted to. She accepted the book which was way cool.
 .
We got the chance to meet with Cynthia on Thursday. She is doing good but is really stressed out.  Her work just fired 3 more people and hired at least 1 new person, so her work is really low on staff. She is working every single day. So it is really hard for her to get off of work for church. She despretly wants too so please keep praying for her. Ever sense Cynthia has been meeting with us she has been going through a rough time. She said on Thursday, "I know Satan is trying to get me to not get baptised but I am not going to let him win. I just have to keep holding on, but I am NOT going to let him win!" Her testimony is so strong and beautiful. Im so proud of her for not giving up.

Sam and Judy are doing wonderful. We didnt get the chance to meet with them this week because Sam's brothers were in town and they were spending time with them. We were able to see them at church on sunday though so that was really good :)

Angel and Lucas are doing much better than last week.  We had a little bit of a scare last week because Angel had texted us canceling our lesson on Saturday very last minute and told us that she was still going to have us over for dinner that friday but she was looking for other churchs. Sister Knegt and I were very confused sense she just was confirmed a member of the church and we thought she was ready. Elder Macdonald felt the same way sense he was the one who interviewed her. Latter we found out that she had some concerns and it  turned out that some of her co workers were telling her false things about the church. We were able to address all of her questions and concerns she had and she is now feeling much better about everything! I was so happy that we got to help her out with everything!

I love this gospel and I love our savior. Being on a mission is definitely one of the best but hardest desision  that I have made! I can feel my testimony growing stronger and stronger every single day.

I Love you all!!!

Happy happy happy!! (Week 10)

My dear family and friends! What a crazy week we have had! It was a really good week though. We had transfers this week. So, we got some new elders in our district that are fresh from the MTC so im not the newest greenie anymore! haha. Whats pretty cool is that all the senior companions in our district are training. I think its crazy how I have been on my mission for a month and a half! Its been defienitly one of the best things I've ever decided to do but also the hardest!

We were suposed to meet Cynthia for a lesson with her on Thursday and when we were trying to get a hold of her she wouldnt pick up or text us back. Which is not like her at all. So we decided to go over because we just assumed that she has probably lost her phone or something. On Tuesday we went back over and she was home!!! Cynthia had explained to us what had happened and we were so relieved! It turned out that her phone broke to where she couldnt send out messages or recieve them. Haha so that was our miracle for the week!

On Friday we had a "bible study" with a member and 4 of her friends. We taught them the Plan of Salvation. It went really well. At the end of the lesson each of them accepted a Book of Mormon and said they will start reading it. All 4 of them said they will pray to know if the things we had taught them were true. Two of the members friends came to church on Sunday!!! We will be teaching them on Friday again and 3 more of the members friends are going to be there as well!!

On sunday, we had a lesson with a family in our ward who has a daughter and we are helping her get ready for baptism. We taught them the importance of prayer and showed them the restoration video it was really spiritual when we were watching. After the video had ended Trista had said. "Wait, im confussed! How did they get that on camera!" Everyone started laughing. It was the cutest thing. We explained to her afterwards that they were just actors acting it out. Sister Knegt and I had a pretty good laugh!

I love this gospel so much and I love the work and the happiness it has braught me. I absalutly love being a missionary. It truly means the world to me.

I love you all and I hope you have a great week!
Stay safe!

A week full of miracles!

Howdy y'all!! This week has been one of the best weeks I've had so far on the mission! Many amazing things have happened! Im too excited to write a long intro to this email so im just going to get right into it!:)

On Monday, we were going to go to the Westbrooks for FHE with Boogie, but he canceled because he wasnt going to be able to make it there because he was helping his brother out with some stuff. So, we were just going to go anyways but then Sister Knegt had a really strong feeling that we shouldn't go. So, we knelt down and said a prayer to see were we needed to go. After thinking it through and saying the prayer we decided to go see one of our investigators Carmen to give her a book of mormon that we have been meaning to get it out to her for ages and she has hardly ever been home. We pulled up to her house and saw that they just pulled in as well! We went and talked to them handed them the BOM and we then found out that her dad had just passed away about a week ago.  So we decided to teach her The Plan of Salvation!!! I know that if we had gone to FHE we wouldn't have been able to see her and teach her.

This week was amazing also because we had just a few baptisms on saturday. It was a really special day for Angel, Lucas, Sam, and Judy. Before the baptism started Brother Westbrook was telling sam what was going to happen when he got into the water and showing him what to do. As soon as Sam got into the font he started doing exactly what Brother Westbrook was telling him. Which was great lol but the only thing was Bro. Westbrook hadnt even said the prayer yet!😂 I geuss he was just nervous and too excited haha. After the baptism I asked angel how she felt and shes like I feel so good and so happy! It was such a great experience for her and her son. During the baptism we showed The Restoration video and while we were watching Judy was crying. The spirit there was way strong.

A couple of weeks ago we tracted into a man who was the son of a baptist preacher. Earlier this week he called us and invited us to his church to come and teach what the LDS church  believes! Which was pretty dang cool! But terrifying at the same time! Luckly, we dont go until the 27th of this month so it gives us a little bit more time to prepare. ;) This week we had interviews with President Pickett! It was good. He told me that I hit the record of having 4 baptisms for a new missionary. Which I think is pretty dang cool. Haha we also had Transfer Calls this week and found out that both me and Sister Knegt are staying here in Lebanon. :) It is unusual for her because she has been here sense she first met them. Lol

I just wanted to let y'all know how much I love this gospel! This gospel has braught me so much peace and happiness to my life. Without it I would probably be a completly different person then I am now. I love my savior with all of my heart. Im so grateful that I am able to come on a mission. I miss all of you so much!

Love y'all!!

Busy, but amazingly fantasitic week!! (week 8)

Is it really already pday?! Crazy! This week flew by like no other! Its crazy to think that I have been in Lebanon for a month!! Im loving it here so much! The people that I've meet are amazing. This week has been crazy busy!

Sister Knegt and I have been planning baptisms for Sam, Judy, Angel and Lucas. Thier baptism is this saturday!!! I am so excited for them! Its crazy because ive never had to plan a baptism before but planning 4 baptisms for the same day is insane but awesome!!  So you can say that we will be crazy busy this week as well. Haha

Earlier this week Sister Knegt and I got temple socks in the mail and we have no idea who sent them.😂 There pretty awesome though! Every single one of our investigators are doing fantastic! We gave Cynthia a chapel tour on thursday. It was pretty cool. She loved it! When we showed Cynthia the baptismal font her face just lit up in excitment. :) she hasnt been able to get off of work yet for sundays but we are still praying for her.

On Thursday right after the church tour the Bitzers (a family in our ward) kept getting these tornado warnings and when we were leaving Brother Bitzer was like "where those the sirens?" After he said that sis. Knegt and I looked at each other and was like okay we have got to get out of here. We booked it home.We later came to find out that the tornado warnings where for Davidson County and not Wilson ( our county). 😂 We were like okay were good 🤣

Sam and Judy are doing wonderful! They both came to church this sunday wich was awesome! They are so excited for this saturday and cant wait for their baptism date. We got together with them yesterday and were talking about who they wanted to be a apart in the baptism service and such. That was really amazing!:)

Angel and Lucas are doing amazing! They both came to church on sunday too! They both loved it. Angel and Lucas are so excited for theyre baptism on saturday! We still are praying for them. Im loving being a missionary and loving tennessee! I love this gospel so much!
