General Confrence weekend.

Hello friends and family!!

I hope that you're week was good! This week was just increadible! We had so much happen. We are still working hard with Sissy and she is still the same. We told her that this is the last week to quit smoking before her baptism. If she doesn't stop this week we are just going to have to push it back. How did y'all like general confrence? I loved president Uchdorf's talk about the German Shepard.

We had district meeting and interviews on Thursday so that was cool.

On Friday this week we had a increadible lesson with one of our potientals Miranda who we found while tracting last transfer. During the lesson there was a bunch of distractions. People kept knocking on her door, the tv was on quitly and her toddler was jumping around all over the place. The most amazing thing about that lesson was that the spirit was still there, and she was listing to every word we were saying. After the lesson we were able  to set her on date for baptism! It was also my first time asking with them saying yes! Sister Bennett and I were on cloud 9!

Also, on the same day I saw this guys sitting on some steps while we were driving to our appointment. As soon as I looked at him I heard someone say, "go talk to him!" So, I looked around and all I see is Sister Bennett in the drivers seat. When we were turning the corner I heard it again but louder this time, "GO!" So, finally I asked Sister Bennett to pull over so that we can go and talk to him. She apparently had the same prompting. When we walked over to him we found out that his name was Meek and that he lost one of his friends on Thursday from a stroke. What?! As soon as he said that I knew that voice I heard in the car was the holy ghost. So, we were able to give him a plan of salvation pamphlet. The sad part was that he was from out of town but I know that the pamphlet we gave him is going to change his life.

I love this gospel, I love the spirit and I love being a missionary. That is about everything that has happened this week and I hope that y'all have a wonderful week!

Back to a duo

Hey family and friends

I hope that you had a fantastic week and that everything is going well for y'all! Everything is great here in the great TKM! This week it was raining so much! Sister Bennett and I kept getting wet! Haha it was still fun though. Sorry this email is going to be a little shorter since it has been a slow week. Not alot has happened.

Yeah, so many of you know that we had transfers this week and we had to say goodbye to Sister Hess!! We miss her terribly and it is soo quiet without her! I also had my heart torn out because I had to say goodbye to one of my best friends, my sweet trainor Sister Knegt! She left to go home on Wednesday! She has been there EVERY step of the way for me while I've been on this mission. I'm going to miss her so much! *Shout out to Sister Knegt!*

On Tuesday we had a wonderful lesson with Sissy! We talked to her about quoting smoking and drinking coffee. She told us that she hasn't drank any in 4 days!!!! I was so stoked for her!!! When we went back to see her on Friday we told her that we were going to try this program to help her quit smoking and it seems to be helping her alot! I'm so proud of her.

On Friday night I did not feel good at all! I had a 100° degree fever that went away the next morning and I felt a ton better, but it came back on Sunday morning. I checked my temperature right before Sister Bennett and I walked out the door to go to ward council and it said that I had a fever again. This time it was only 99 degrees but I felt terrible. We decided that we had to go to ward council and be there for sissy since she was going to be getting a blessing. So, we just stayed long enough for her and me to get a blessing as well. My blessing told me to go home and get some rest and the other ward members said to do the same. So, that is what we did Sunday. I was off that whole day because I didn't get the change to partake of the sacrament. It's alright though.

I feel ten times better than yesterday so that is great! Blessings really work well! I just wanted to say that I know that this church is true and that heavenly father loves each and everyone of us!

I love y'all and hope that you have a fantastic week!!

Round 3 in the amazing land of Jamestown, Tennessee

Hey hey hey, friends and family!

This week was the last week of the transfer. Which is very weird! We had Transfer calls on Saturday, and we found out that Sister Hess will be leaving us to go to Onida, Tennessee and Sister Bennett and I will be staying here in Jamestown, Tennesse. I'm excited to stay here for yet another transfer, but also will miss the wonderful and cute Sister Hess! It's going to be a change again about being in a duo again since, I have been in a trio for quite some time.

We also had Zone Confrence this week. It was really good! I had the special experience to see my sweet trainor bear her departing testimony since she leaves to go home this Wednesday and do a amazing musical number! I will miss her soo much and I will miss going on exchanges with her! At Zone Confrence President Pickett gave a amazing training about Joseph Smith. The spirit there was so strong!

Everything else is basically the same. Not much else happened this week.

I love you all and hope that you have a fantastic week!

Special blessings and tender mercys

Hello my wonderful family and friends!!

This week was incredible! The only thing that I can think of to say is wow! What a amazing week! I don't even know where to begin. We mostly were getting Jessica ready for her baptism on Saturday.

Along with Jessica's baptism I was able to witnesses special tender mercy that same day too. We were able to wake up and head to the Nashville Temple to watch Sam and Judy get sealed for all time and eternity. That my friends was very very special! It was so fun to be able to witness that. I was also able to see a bunch of my favorite people from Lebanon Tennessee. What an incredible day.

Sissy, is doing fine. We haven't been able to get in with her and 3 days and she is doing better.

Sorry that this email is very short, this week has just been a big blur with Jessica's baptism and going to the temple. Oh yeah, on Wednesday I hit my 14th month mark!!!! I still cannot believe it has gone by that fast.

I know that my Heavenly Father has sent me to the Tennessee Knoxville mission for a reason. I  have loved every bit of it!

I know that my heavenly father and my brother Jesus Christ loves me very very much and loves you very very much! I know that he lives! I know that he attoned for our sins. I know at the book of Mormon his true and I know that Joseph Smith is truly a prophet of God and Russell M. Nelson is a profit on this earth today. I'm so thankful for this gospel and for the example Jesus Christ was for us. I also know thar families can be together forever.

I love you all and I hope that you have a fantastic rest of your week!

Love,
Sister Jensen

Song of the week:
Come Follow me.

I'll go where you want me to go.

Well, howdy my wonderful family and friends!!

I hope that you are having a wonderful glorious week (as Sissy would say.) so far! This week was great! God is so good to us. I am loving this fall weather here in the south and I can't wait for it to get colder! I'm kind of  done with this summer thing. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Well, this week has been wonderful like I said earlier. We got to go laser tagging with the district on Monday and that was a lot of fun! On Wednesday. We were able to have a video lesson with Jessica. We taught her the Word of Wisdom! She is so set to get baptised on Saturday!

So, I don't remember if I have said this in my last weeks email but we have been working very closely with Sissy this week. She is so amazing and I just love her!

On Thursday we were able to finally get in with this one investigator from the fair. She is super sweet! She is soo ready for the gospel. I just love her as well. Then we were able to teach Elaina again. Which went well.

On Friday and Saturday, we were able to go on exchanges with the amazing Crossville sisters! It was so fun to go on a exchange with my amazing trainor Sister Knegt! Oh, how I will miss that Chicka! I still can't believe she goes home in 3 weeks. Crazy how time flies! Anyways, for the exchange I had the amazing privilege  to go with Sister Knegt for a day and Sister Bennett and Sister Hess went down to crossville to join Sister Hansen for a day.

On Friday we were able to find 6 new investigators together. It actually reminded me of the good ole days in Lebanon. :) oh, we had so much fun!

Jessica and Sissy came to church on Sunday! It was so wonderful to see them both at church again! Jessica is so excited for her baptism on Saturday. I can't wait either.

Well, that is all of the miracles that happened this week. I just wanted to tell y'all that I know that this church is true and that the saviour suffered and attuned for our sins.

I love y'all and hope that you have wonderful glorious week!

Love,
Sister McKenzie Jensen

Sorry I'm slacking on pictures!

The one with the big furry chicken.

Hey hey hey!!!

Wow, I can't believe that another week has flown by or the fact that it's September! That's just crazy to me to think that. It's fun thought because alot of people have their Halloween/fall decorations up! Also, the leaves are starting to change color! I am so excited to spend another fall here in Tennessee! Anyway, sorry about that huge ramble but here is how my week went.

Tuesday was a really good but weird day. We were able to contact a lot of people! We had a ton of referrals from the fair so that is basically what we did. We gave the winner the picture of Christ and he was smiling and told us that he had never won any thing before. It really made my day of how happy he was.

On that same day we saw a lady in a really long skirt out burning leaves and branches. The weird part about this moment was that there were a bunch of chickens and a baby cow on her property. We went over and talked to her anyway and while we were talking to her, her gigantic chickens/ Turkey's came running towards us and just started doing what chickens did. The lady wasn't interested because she said that she believed in Yaway (God) being her "creator". That's okay though because later that day we had a awesome lesson with our investigator Collin.

Thursday we had a lesson with one of our investigators Sissy. She is so cute and so nice. She kept telling us how greatful and how appreciative she is with the way that she is living. When we got to her apartment complex she opened the door and said, "welcome to my mansion". I was confused about it at first but come to find out that the past year she was living with her mom and a bunch of other people. So, it felt huge to her being there alone. She kept telling us that she was so happy that she could cry. During that lesson that night she kept saying how much she loved the "Mormon" church and how she missed it and that she wants to get baptised so bad! So, that night we out her on date for the 22. I am so excited for her. At the end of her lesson she taught me to be thankful for the small and simple things and to never take anything for granted.

Okay, funny story time! On Friday at 2:30 in the morning our fire/carbon monoxide alarm went off. We got up to turn it off and looked around. We didn't see any smoke or nothing so we automatically thought that it was the carbon monoxide. Now, my whole mission I've been hearing stories about missionaries dying because of carbon monoxide in there apartment. So, aturally we freaked out and called 911 to have someone come over to check our apartment. It came to be that the battery was just low and that nothing was in our apartment to harm us. All is well. Haha we didn't sleep well that night. lol  but we had a pretty good day after that though.

Saturday we went to albany Kentucky and found 6 new investigators after tracting for 3 hours. It was a pretty good day.

On Sunday a miracle happened. I was able to go with a member to pick up our investigator Jessica up for church. When we got to the church building in the chapel I saw Sissy there too!! I was so happy that both of our baptismal dates where able to show up.

Well, that is basically all I want to talk about! I hope y'all have a fantastic week! I love my savior and I love this gospel!

Talk to y'all next week! Love you!

Love,

Sister McKenzie Jensen

Fair days!๐Ÿคน‍♂️

Hey everyone!!

I hope that y'all had a great week! Heavinly father has blessed us in so many ways this week! First off, we had the fair this week and our ward had a booth so we were able to go and find a ton of people! Our booth was actually doing a drawing of a picture of Christ. A total of seventy three people signed up for it and seventeen of those seventy three people said yes to meet with the missionaries!! Boy, are we going to be busy this week? All week
we were at the fair.

Wednesday we received some sad news. When we went to visit our investigator , she told us that she was moving to Crossville to take care of her daughter and her grandkids for a couple of months, but then on Friday our amazing STL's called us back and told us that she is moving back the next morning! So we were pretty happy about that!

Another miracle that happened this week was that yesterday (Sunday) we were able to visit with our investigator  again because all three of us had a prompting to go visit her. In the middle of us teaching the Plan of Salvation, she began to lean on the door frame, she looked like she was about to faint so, of corse our otomatic responce was are you okay? She shook her head no and told us that she was about to have a stroke. The next thing we knew was that she was falling off of her porch into the Bush. Y'all we had no idea what to do. Here we were just 19 to 23 year old kids who have never whitnessed anyone having a stroke. My first intention was to call 911 but i hesitated cause i never had to do so. She was able to gain consciousness pretty fast. When we asked her if we can call an ambulance for her she told us no and that she was fine and she was going to call her daughter. I later learned that the reason why we were there and why we had that spiritual prompting to go visit her. If we wernt there then I have no idea if she would have been okay.

I'm so glad that we are able to receive those personal revelations from God. I KNOW that God is always watching out for his children!

I love y'all so much and hope that you have a fantastic week!!

Scripture of the week:
Ether 12:6 And now, I, Moroni, would speak somewhat concerning these things; I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith.

Weekly email

Hey y'all!!

I hope y'all had a wonderful week!! This week flew by and was a great and sad week. Why was it sad? I had to say goodbye to my sweet Sister McNaughtan and Sister Fitzgerald!! ๐Ÿ˜ญ I miss them like crazy but that's okay because I have 2 new companions as well. There names are Sister Bennett and Sister Hess.

Sister Hess has only been out for 3 1/2 months and is from Farmington, Utah. So close to Lagoon!:) Sister Bennett has been out for 7 months and is from San Jose California. Fun fact of the day she actually got called Spanish speaking so she is a Hermana. Crazy right? Both of my companions are so great!!

Anyway, on Saturday Brianna GOT BAPTISED!!! I was so thankful to be able to get to teach her all the lessons and watch her enter the water of baptism. It was truly a moment to remember.

On Friday we were able to go to a members house because she was picking us up for district meeting. All the members here in Jamestown were talking about her bathtub this whole transfer I've been here! So, we were finally able to see it when we got there!! (Look at picture below.) It's huge y'all!! Apparently when we didn't have a come in our church they would baptize people in it. Crazy!!

Well, that's pretty much it. Our areabook is down and I don't have my Brian right now lol but it's alright.

Sorry about the short email! I just wanted to say that I love being a missionary and Tennessee! I love everything about it!!

I will see y'all next week.

Sister Jensen

Transfer calls

Hello everyone!

I hope y'all had a wonderful week! I have a couple of things to tell y'all. First off, I don't have Facebook or messanger on my tablet anymore because it was just too much of a distraction for me. So, if you have messaged me and I havn't seen it, that is why. So, now I only have email to communicate with y'all! Yay!

Also, we had Transfer calls on Saturday and it turns out that I am staying here in the promise land of Jamestown, Tennessee yay!!! But the sad news is is that, Sister Fitzgerald and Sister McNaughtan are leaving me! Sister Fitzgerald is leaving to serve in Farragut, Tennessee and Sister McNaughtan is going to Greenville. ☹ but I will be getting two new comps again this Transfer! Sister Bennett and Sister Hess! I'm so excited to meet and get to know each of them this next Transfer!

Now for some exciting news. Brianna is making her way towards baptism and she is going to get baptised on Saturday!! We finnished all of her lessons and she came to church yesterday!! I am so excited for her. I also have to speak at her baptism on the holy ghost if any of you have any ideas on what I can so or say to keep her attention that'll be amazing!

On Wednesday we saw a man on his porch so we decided to go and talk to him. We talked for a hour and a half and we should him the video the hope of God's light which he really related to. He kept saying that he doesn't think that there is a reason to go to church but everytime we kept telling him something he looked like he was thinking about coming back! We are really going to work hard on Josh. He said that he was open to visits as well so that was cool.

Another thing is that on Wednesday we wernt over to our  investigator Jeff build fences.  It was alot of fun! It made me appreciate service alot more, because when you serve someone they begin to trust you.  We were able to see those results that night with him texting us saying that he really appreciates out help!

But ya,  that is pretty much it!! I'm so excited to see what else  heavinly father has in store for us!! I love this gospel with all of my heart! I hope everyone has a wonderful week!!

Keep on keeping on!!

Love,
Sister Jensen

Finding, finding and more finding

Hey y'all!!

I hope y'all had a fantastic week!! Is it really August? Man, that is crazy how fast time is flying by! The work here in Jamestown, Tennessee is blossoming and blooming! God is good! I also wanted to tell those who are still reading my weekly emails thank you for sticking with me these last 13 months! Yuns are incredible! Well, without further adew here is what happenend this week!

Monday- Monday was a fun day! We went over to Courtney's (a member in our ward) to play games with her for her last day in Tennessee, she was going to move back to Utah for school. We are going to miss her a lot! After that we went over to her sister Samantha' s to play pie face. It was a lot of fun too! After pday, we had a lesson with Kristy and Aaron. It went pretty well, ooh I just love those two dearly!

Tuesday-  we helped out at the food bank again. It was fun! Other than that we just went contacting and finding alot as well.

Wednesday- we had a lesson with Linda and it didn't really go so well. We just went over and tried to see if she was intrested in learning and being baptised she said that she was already baptised and she is not intrested in learning more. So, we had to make that decision to drop her... I was pretty sad about it but I know that she would be able to make it back to the gospel one day.
While we were tracting we actually was able to tract into one of our investigators whom, we havnt been able to get a address for. Cool thing is is that I saw a street and I felt good about it, and decided to go! He was very nice and wanted us to come by again!

Thursday- We had Zone Confrence!! I loved this zone confrence! One cool thing that I loved about it is that it talked alot about being diligent and working hard. One thing that our Zone is doing is picking a Christ like attribute  and work on it that week. So, I picked to work on patience at the very beginning but the next day I felt the need to change it so I decided to work on diligence instead. (This is before I even knew about what our zone confrence was all about.) It so happend to be that this meeting was all about diligence! What?

Here are some of my favorite quotes from it.
▪"Smile more because Jesus Christ wants us too!"-Emma Pickett(President Picketts daughter)
▪ "When we do the things that are being asked, it is being asked by God to do so."- Elder Hancock
▪ "When we don't think of him ( the savior) and others thats when we are not truly happy!"- President Pickett
▪"President recieves revelation and he does it! He follows it!" - Elder Barnes

Friday- We almost put Brownie on date!! It was great! Sister Cook (the amazing bishops wife) came out with us for a team up and shared her incredible testimony! When we asked Brownie if he wanted to be baptised he said that he will have to think about it. I am really hopeing he does! It will be so good for him and his grandson Ethan!

Saturday-  We went and did a whole bunch of OYMing( Open your mouth) at the biggest yard sale in the world!! (127 yard sale) on Saturday. It was almost tiring. Lol but we were able to hand out a bunch of cards to people. Later that evening we had a Facebook lesson with Brianna and it was chaotic. Lol she was distracted and had a hard time paying  attention but over all that I think it went okay. Haha she is still really excited for her baptism that is coming up!

Sunday- We were able to go to church today and we we have the opportunity to fast. During sacrament meeting Kristy got up and bore her testimony for the first time in her life! I was so happy that she did and I was so proud of her for doing so.She also stayed the full 3 hours of church. She is just amazing! After church we are able to visit a bunch of people and try to attend a Baptist Church to see if we can find some investigators that we tracted into. But come to find out that they wernt there but that's okay. Going to that church made me realize that how grateful I am for this gospel and the fact that I know that families can be  together forever is a blessing to me.

As you can see that this week has just been increadible and I am loving this area so much!  I know that this gospel is true and that the book of mormon is the currect book of all!

I love y'all so much and hope that you have a fantastic week!

Love,
Sister Jensen
