Week 14

Hello my dear family and friends!!

This week has been really good! I have got to see so many amazing things this week! Sorry this email might be short because I am running low on time, but I'll try to make it good :)

first off im going to tell you guys how our investigators are doing:)

Cynthia is doing amazing! Her baptism date is October 24 which is coming up super quick! But the only concern that we have is getting her to church! She really wants to come but she still cant get off of work for church. In her lesson this week she told us that she is really concerdering on quiting her job if that is what she has to do. She still has a  super strong tesimony and stilll is pushing foward!

Ellic is doing alright. Still hasnt gotten a answer yet from praying to know if this is the right path for him. He is really hanging in there though.

So, Sunday evening we had dinner at a members house and got out of there pretty late. We origanally were planning on going over to her house anyway but since it was really late we both wern't sure if we should, but both of us really had a strong feeling that we should so we did! As we pulled up into her driveway we saw that all of the lights were off and it looked like they were sleeping. Sister Knegt and I looked at each other like should we? But then that moment her kids got dropped off and we were able to go and teach the restoration to her and her two kids. That lesson went really well. One of the best lessons we have had! A couple of days ago she said she was wondering, "Why don't we have prophets on this earth today like we did back then?" We told her that we did and that was something that we were going to go over today! Pretty cool right?:)

Recent converts:

Sam and Judy are doing wonderful! We wern't able to meet with them this week because they were sick with the stomach flu so they didnt come to church on sunday because of it. But we are praying for them! .

Angel and Lucas are doing better. We wernt able to meet with them this week because Angel had the stomach flu as well! They would have been at church this sunday if it wasnt for that. But we are still praying for them!

I cant believe that I would be done with training this next week! Its crazy how time flies like that! I am loving the mission life and loving it here in Tennessee! I love and miss you all so so much!

Love,
Sister Jensen
Ps. Sorry this weeks was so short!

The spirit is real people!! (Week 13)

Hey y'all!!

I hope everyone had an awesome week! This week was good. The work here in Lebanon is pretty slow but its getting there! I was able to see some amazing blessings come our way!

While we we're searching in area book under former investigators we came across this name and we felt promted to go visit. So we decided to go and visit her and she was home!! Not only that it was a blessing that she was home but she let us in and we were able to share a message with her. She also said that we can come back and teach her next sunday!! It was amazing. The spirit is real!!!

This week we were able to teach Cynthia the law of tithing and the Word of Wisdom! Both lessons went really well! Cynthia committed to live the W.O.W without a problem! The spirit there when we were teaching her was so strong. A member came with us to our lesson with her and she told Cynthia some pretty amazing things about her testimony of the W.O.W. It was awesome!

Ellic is doing alright. He is still struggling to really figure out if this is the right path that heavinly father wants for him. Its really hard sometimes to get him to talk in some lessons, but other than that he is doing pretty good!

Sam and Judy are doing amazing! Sam actually got the presthood yesterday! It was cool because Sam had just finnished telling us that he doesn't feel ready for it because he feels like he was beeing to rushed into things. So, in sacrament meeting yesterday they anounced that he was recieving the Aronic Presthood and both me and Sister Knegt just looked at each other like "oh no." After sacrament meeting was over we asked him if he knew that was going to happen and he said yes and that the bishop helped him feel like he was ready for it and wss okay with it. That same day both Judy and Sam recieved their temple recommends! This friday we are planning on going to the temple with Sam, Judy, Angel and Lucas! So that was amazing!

Angel and Lucas are doing good. We re-taught the Gospel of Jesus Christ to them on saturday. That lesson didnt really go to good because there dog kept barking like crazy! It was really hard to focus and teach, but we still went on with the lesson. A member of the ward came with us on saturday and really addressed some of Angel's concerns!

Anyway, that was about it for my week! Hope y'all have a wonderful rest of the week!

Love you all!!

What a week! (Week 12)

Hey y'all!!

I hope all of you enjoyed general confrence this week! I sure did! We started off the week by helping Jayme and Ellic fence. (Well tried to!;) Then  after we were done fencing we went back to their house and ate dinner with them and some of the elders in our district to. The morning after that I woke up with my ear pounding and hurting so bad. It was hurting bad for a couple of days earlier but nothing near as bad as that. So we called the mission nurse and I got the approval to go to the urgent care and it turned out that I had a small ear infection and a little bit of swelling! So, that was not fun. It feels so much better now!

About a month ago we tracted into a son of a baptist pastor and we were able to teach him the restoration on his doorstep. He also accepted a BOM. Then a couple weeks ago he called us and invited us to come teach what we believe in his church. So on wednesday me Sis. Knegt  Elder Macdonald and Elder Lopez  taught at the baptist church! It went a lot better than we thought it would! At first we were going to teach them the restoration and then last minute we changed it to the Articles of Faith and just teach about every princepal. It got a little heated at times and we didnt even get to finish teaching all of them because they all had a TON of questions. We left a very good impression. After the lesson a member of the baptist church asked US for a B.O.M, and the son of the pastor invited us to come to their little BBQ thing that they are having in a couple of weeks. So that was really cool!

Saturday was General Confrence! What was everyones favorite talk? Mine was President Uchdorf's talk. I really liked how his talk was all about striving to get back to Heavenly Father. I got a lot more out of this general confrence than I have in the past! I was kind of sad that president Thomas S. Monson didnt speak. But all the other talks were really really good as well.

I love being a missionary and living out here in Tennessee. It really is spectacular! I hope you all have an amazing week!

Love you all!!
