Zone Confrence, baptism and Temple!

Hello everyone!

This week was really good so full of so many mircles! I don't even know where to begin! So, I geuss I'll start with Monday.

Monday- We helped this cute old lady at Aldies put her groceries in bags and take them to her car. She was very greatful for our help and told us that God had sent us to her for some help! We also went to the  battlefield to hang out with the district. What a fun day!

Tuesday- We got a referral at 2:30 in the morning for this girl named Amanda and she has been a member before but she left 4 years ago and now is trying to decide if she wants to come back. We met with her that night and answered some of her concerns and questions. She was able to bring her husband and her kid with her. Her husband is a non member. She also asked if she could get a blessing that day and luckly the elders were in the church so they could give her one! After the lesson Amanda texted us and said, "Thank you ladies, my husband was very moved by my blessing and would like one as well!" We are working on trying to set up a date to make that happen!

Wednesday- We were able to meet with Rodney and finnish teaching him the Law of Chastity. It wasn't awkward at all like we thought it might be since he is living with his girlfriend. We asked him if he would live the Law of Chastity and he said that he wanted too! So, we are working with him on that! After Rodney's we had a lesson with Shirley. Shirley is a cute old grandma who the sisters found while tracting. The lesson went really well! We were able to teach her about the restoration and she LOVED it! The spirit was so strong and so beautiful! After Shirley's we went to visit this girl named Rachel. The elders had referred her to us since she was a single lady. She has had so many problems and struggles in her life. We were able to share a scripture with her and she loved that! We gave her a book of mormon and a restortion pamphlet and wanted us to come back and teah her! So cool!

Thursday- We had a lesson with Andy that went really well! We also did service at the food bank again which was a lot of fun!

Friday- We had zone confrence and was able to listen to a member of the 70 speak who was from Kenya Africa! He was a really good speaker! He mostly talked about finding and how to make our areas better! It was a lot of fun because I was able to see my cute trainor again! I was really happy!

Saturday- We had a wonderful oppertunity to go to the Antlanta Georgia temple with our investigator Aquilla and her husband Brother Sullivan. I was really glad to be able to go and support him! Aquilla loved the temle and I can tell that she felt the spirit a lot! After the temple I also had an amazing oppurtunity to skype in for Ben's baptism! It was so fun to talk to him!

Sunday- We went to ward council and church. At church Brother Sullivan said that Aquilla felt so good at the temple and they were talking the whole way home and Aquilla asked him what it would take for her to be baptized and she said it probably won't be this weekend will it? He told her probably not but we will see what the sisters have to say. So, we are waiting for them to decide on a baptismal date for Aquilla! I was so excited when I heard Brother Sullivan say that!

Y'all, this week has been one of the best I've had so far! I know that this church is true and I love my savior and I'm so blessed to be able to come on this mission to meet the people that I have meet! I love y'all so much and hope that you have a wonderful week!

Love,
Sister Jensen

Scripture of the week:
2 Nephi 31:13 "Wherefore, my beloved brethren, I know that if ye shall follow the Son, with full purpose of heart, acting no hypocrisy and no deception before God, but with real intent, repenting of your sins, witnessing unto the Father that ye are willing to take upon you the name of Christ, by baptism—yea, by following your Lord and your Savior down into the water, according to his word, behold, then shall ye receive the Holy Ghost; yea, then cometh the baptism of fire and of the Holy Ghost; and then can ye speak with the tongue of angels, and shout praises unto the Holy One of Israel."

How have you seen the Lord's hand in you're life today?

Hello my amazingly beautiful family and friends!

I hope that things are going well for each of you this week! I just wanted to apologize for not writing last week. Not a lot happened besides transfer calls. Like I said earlier, I am staying here in Chatt Valley with my sweet comp for her last 6 weeks in the mission field! Which is crazy to me! I am so blessed that I am able to be her companion for her last two transfers! She has become one of my best friends that I have ever had and I will miss her like crazy when the time comes for her to go home BUT thankfully I don't have to worry about it for the next 6 weeks! Anyway, I'm sure y'all are estatic to here what went on this week so let's get started! First off, I want to ask y'all a question. How have YOU seen the Lord's hand in YOU'RE life? I want y'all to think about that as you read my email today.

Last Sunday we had the amazing opportunity to teach Relief Society. The spirit was so strong during our lesson. Our lesson was on Jesus Christ Lord of the Sabbath. During our lesson a member in our ward pointed out this amazing  analogy that I would like to share with y'all today:

There was once a woman who told her Bishop that she didn't want to come to church anymore because all she saw when she went were gossipers and hypocrites. He asked her if she would be willing to do something for him before she made her decision to leave. She said she would.
He asked her to carry a silver spoon full of water and walk the entire church, trying to keep all the water from spilling. She thought it was an odd request, but agreed to do it. That Sunday, she walked the halls of the church and did her best not to let any water spill from the spoon.
She went to the Bishop and said "I did what you asked." He asked her,
"did you see any gossipers or any hypocrites today?" She said,
"well, no, I was concentrated on the spoon like you asked." He explained to her that the water represented the Living Water of Christ and as we focus on him, we don't notice the faults of others, and we're happier.

I love that. We need to realize that we're not just going to church for ourselves, not for the poeple in our ward, we are only going for HIM! If we recognize that I promise that we will be able to grow closer to him and our testimony will grow stronger and stronger each day.

So, back to the question that I had asked in the beginning of this email. How have you seen the Lord's hand in you're life today? I have seen his hand everyday on my mission. Some of the ways that I have seen his hand in my life are:

▪Being able to run into service opportunities each day!
▪Seeing the blessings of how the gospel blesses us!
▪Helping people realize that we need to go to church every Sunday!

I encourage y'all to go home and read the talk given by Elder Henry B. Eyring called O, Remember Remember. It has to be one of my most favorite talks he has given. I promise that you will NOT be disappointed.

My friends and family, I wanted to tell y'all that I love this church with all of my heart and I am so very thankful and blessed that I am able to be out here serving God! I miss y'all like crazy everyday and love each and everyone of you! Have a wonderful, safe and amazing week!

Love,
Sister Jensen
