He said yet.. y'all!!

Hello my wonderful family and friends!

I hope that you had a fantastic week! I know I sure did. I just wanted to start off by saying how grateful I am to be here on the mission. It's definitely changed me and made me so much stronger than i was. This week I realized that if I hadn't  come out here on the mission I would not have ever learned everything that I have learned.

But anyways enough with the rambling. Here is what went on this week.

For some exciting news! We put Elena on date for baptism! It was amazing we had exchanges then as well so Sister Knegt came with us to teach Elania on Friday! Exchanges  are wonderful. Earlier this week we were able to meet with brownie and we asked him what he hasn't done and he said that he hasn't became a Mormon yet... He said yet people! We all have a great feeling about him! Hopefully we'll be able to get him to church and on a baptismal date soon!!

Brianna is progressing and working her way for baptism! She is counting down the days till her baptism and it's so exciting excited about it! We wern't able to get in touch with Linda or the other Linda but thats okay. Oh also on Friday we were able to tract into Mark! We saw him struggling with his grocery bags and so we offered to help him and he was so kind and let us in! We explained our purpose to him and taught him a little bit about the Plan of Salvation. He invited us to come back and eat dinner with him so that was amazing!

Well folks I think that's about everything that happened! I love y'all and hope that y'all have a wonderful week!!! I love you!!!

Love,
Sister Jensen
Ps. Sorry that this email is kind of scrambled I don't have a lot of time.

God brings us Blessings!!

Good morning my wonderful family and friends!!

I hope y'all had a great week!! I know that I have! God is good and he has shown us so many mericles this week. I was looking at the calender and noticed that July is literally almost over!! What?! Where has the time gone? I can't believe that it is almost August! Time on the mission goes by super fast it's crazy! Even though there are some days that feel like it is like a snail speed! Haha oh well. Anyway sorry for that randomness there but without further adew here is how my week has gone!

Sister Miller and her family took us all on a hike to a waterfall on Monday. It was so beautiful! On the hike we were able to catch a Salamander!!! Coming from a girl that is from Utah and has never seen one in real life it was pretty sweet! ;) haha.

On Tuesday when we were volunteering at the food bank we were able to gain 2 new investigators! Tris and Paul. I'm going to tell you Paul's story first. Paul came up to us out of no where and asked us, "give me a Book of Mormon! I want to read it!" What?! For those of you who have served a mission before know that that never happens!! Rarely it does! We were able to give and explain the Book of Mormon to him. It was so cool! Tris was super nice and we just started talking about our purpose as missionaries because she asked what we were doing and then talked to her about faith in Jesus Christ. We were able to set up a time to come back and teach her next week! I'm telling y'all God is Good!

So, this past transfer we have been living without a dryer and just been hang drying our clothes. This past Wednesday Sister House was able to come up and bring us a dryer. It is so nice to have one. Haha such a blessing!

The next day on Thursday the amazing Sister Turton took us to Albany to visit our amazing investigators Brianna and Linda. Now I don't remember if I told y'all the story about either of them so, I'm just going to tell you anyway. Last week we were driving by Linda's house and she was sitting outside on the porch. All three of us looked at each other and had that spiritual prompting to turn the car around and talk to her. We followed that prompting and she was so greatful that we did! We were able to teach her a little of the restoration and explain it to her. She loved everything that was said! When we came back on Thursday she said that she read and highlighted some from the restoration pamplet. She loved it! We invited her to be baptised but she nicely and sadly declined our offer because she said that she has already been baptised but I could tell that she was seriously thinking about it. I have a great feeling about her.

That same day we saw Brianna. She is only 11 years old and really wants to get baptised! She is the only one in her family that is not! In her lesson we were able to teach her about how families can be sealed together in the temple and that she can do baptisms for the dead when she turns 12. We then tied it to regular baptism and invited her to be baptised for herself on August 18. She said that would work and is super excited about it!

Saturday was another fun day! We went to a Pioneer day party that some of the ward members put on. In the south they go all out for Pioneer day! At that party there were wagon races, Tug-O-War and sac races. It was so fun. We were able to participate in the wagon race! In the middle of the race it started to pour down rain and we all got soaked! The rain storms here in the south are nothing like they are in Utah. Oh man such a fun time.

On Sunday Brianna and her family came to church!!! Of my understanding that was there first time going in 4 years!! I was so happy because of it!! It was amazing later that night we went tracting and found 5 new investigators on one street!!! That street was like the promise street. Haha I love God!

I know that this church is true, I love this gospel and I have never been as happy has I have since I've been on my mission. I am loving it! I hope y'all have a great pioneer day!!

I love you!!

I've been out a whole year!!!

Hello my lovely family and friends!! I hope you all had a wonderful week!! This week I hit my 1 year mark on Thursday! So crazy to me to think that I've been out a year!! I've learned so much since being out and I wouldn't change it for the world! Sorry that this email isnt going to be super long dont hafe much time left but I'm going to try to hit some of the highlights of the week.

We were able to teach Kristy and Aaron this week and it went really well. We taught them about temple sealing.

We also tracted into this amazing person who seems to be super intrested!! Her name is Gail she is super intrested in family history and we were able to sit and talk with her for a while about it so that was pretty neat!!

We were also able to teach Carlos again and he is doing good.

Oh yeah annd today we got to go on a hike to waterfall it was a blast!!

Sorry that is pretty much all that I have time for right now, but I want to say that I know that this church is true and that Jesus Christ is the savior and redeemer of the world!

I love and miss y'all so much and hope that you have a great rest of your week!!

Jamestown= Trio life, blessings, amazing ward and awkward lessons

This week has been amazing! Trio life is truly the bomb digity! It is so much fun! Sister Fitzgerald is 16 months out and Sister McNaughtan is only 5 months out! So we have an oldest in between and baby!

Well if y'all havnt figured it out yet we had transfers on Wednesday and I had to say goodbye to my sweet comp Sister Jarman who I spent the best 6 weeks in Tompkinsville with. Sister Jarman has become one of my best friends. Whom I am going to miss so much! But I know that she is home safe with her fam bam!!! After we got back we unpacked alittle and settled in and headed out to sister Tortons to say hello. She is literally the nicest lady I've ever met. She is so sweet. After a while of chatting with her we went over to Christy and Aarons who are very recent converts of a year. They are so funny and I just love them!

Honestly this week has just been trying to figure out how to handle being in a trio because none of us has ever been in one. So, we quote Disney movies all the time and just laugh it out.

Story time!!! On Thursday night I did not feel good at all. I was running on a 100 degree fever and a really sore throat aceing all over but the only problem was that we had district meeting the next day. So, we decided if the fever went down and I was feeling better we would try to go. While I was lying in bed I thought about asking the elders for a blessing if we did go down there. If not then just someone else in this amazing ward, but a mericle happend the next day! I woke up the next morning with out a fever and feeling better than the night before so we were able to head down to Crossville for district meeting. After lunch and district meeting one of the elders in our district Elder Everett called after me and asked if I needed a blessing! With out even me mentioning that I needed one. I asked him how he knew and he said that he just figured he'd ask since I was so sick Thursday night. God really does know when to send the priesthood into our lives.

Friday after district meeting we had a super spiritual lesson with one of our investigators Linda. We were teaching her the restoration and introduced her to the Book of Mormon. We read the intro to the book of Mormon with her and she understood it really well. When we sang the song when I am baptized to her the spirit was there and incredibly strong. She loved it. We asked her to be baptised but she said that she would have to think hard about it. So that was pretty cool.

Saturday we had a pretty cool experince while tracting. We knocked the whole street of Potter St. and no one was intrested but we kept walking to this other st that was right by it and the first house is were we met Lia. Lia was super nice and invited us right in. We were able to invite her to a pioneer day party that our ward was having on the 21. She got so excited and she said "Yeah, my kids will love this! We will definitely come to this!" It was super cool.

On sunday, I had to speak on what covenants did I make at Baptism. My talk went really well. Something really cool happened after sacrament. We were just standing there and I was looking around trying to see if there was someone that I should go talk to that was sitting alone when I came across this man. My feet started walking in his direction. I introduced myself and he introduced himself as well. He said his name was Jeff. We started talking. After we said our goodbyes and after church Sister McNaughtan informed me that we had an investigator at church and I was like who? Who was it?  And sure enough it was Jeff!!! What??? It just blew my mind that I had a prompting to go talk to him when there was another person right by him sitting alone!

After church we were able to teach our investigator Carlos. The spirit was strong but oh my goodness it was so awkward! All he said during the lesson was, I geuss, I don't know, I would have to think about it and yeah. Super hard to get him to talk. But thats okay because we soft committed him to baptism!!

Well guys thats it for this week. I hope that yuns had a wonderful 4th of july week and that you will have a safe and amazing week this week!! I love and miss you all!!

Love,
Sister Jensen.

Scripture of the week:
Mosiah 18:10 "Now I say unto you, if this be the desire of your hearts, what have you against being baptized in the name of the Lord, as a witness before him that ye have entered into a covenant with him, that ye will serve him and keep his commandments, that he may pour out his Spirit more abundantly upon you? 11 And now when the people had heard these words, they clapped their hands for joy, and exclaimed: This is the desire of our hearts."

Week 50- What a week!! It's July already?!

Hey hey friends and fam!

I hope y'all had a wonderful week! This week was really good! First off, I wanted to apologize for not writing y'all last week! Super crazy week, it was! This email is going to be really good so y'all should be excited! Haha.

This week we started off by hanging with the elders and JJ of courseπŸ˜‰. On Monday. It was super fun. We played games at the church all pday long. It was a blast. After pday we headed over to the Jones's for FHE when we got there it turned out that JJ's mom and dad totally forgot about it and so we just shared a brief message with JJ and his best friend Megan. They were also super nice and fed us dinner! Such a great day.

On Tuesday, we were able to see so many investigators of ours. All of whom were super friendly. But I would like to talk about this one investigator that we have. His name is Duane. Oh my goodness y'all he is so ready! When we were talking to him I could see him and feel that he is going to be baptized one day. So, let me explain a little bit more about him. Sister Fearber and Sister Jarman tracted into him. (I know right?) When we went back to follow up with him we asked him if he read the pamplet that we gave to him and he said he did and he really liked it! He said that it made him want to come back to church! Crazy thing is, is that he has actually been to one of our services before! When we asked him what he thought about the pamplet we left him he said, "I really liked it! It makes me want to go to another one of your services!" What! My mouth just fell open with excitment! So, we invited him to church and he said he will try to make it on Sunday!

Wednesday, was another good day! We went to the genealogy room in the morning and then went  on a team up with Sister Riley and we saw a couple of less active families. One of whom said that they might come to church on Sunday! Wahoo! Ooh, how could I almost forget to tell y'all that on our team up with Sister Riley we had a tornado warning in Tville,  It was so scary y'all! But the good news is is that no tornado touched down! So, after we ate our lunch we ran to the church building and stayed there for about an hour until the weather calmed down a bit! After our team up with Sister Riley we went over to branch correlation. It is always a blast with the Mondays. Love those people so much!

Thursday, we had district meeting and interviews with President Pickett! Always such a good time when we have those. Then we drove home and had some studies which we didn't have anytime for in the morning and went over to the Monday's for dinner. They are incridable let me just say thatπŸ˜‰! This time it was different though we had his brother and wife there too. They are both really less active! We were able to share a video with them and talked about how they can build there spiritual testimony. It was great.

Friday, was another great day! We went on a team up with the amazing Sue Emmert who is a member. We were able to see a lot of less active members with her, which was great! After our team up we finnished up our studies and headed to a less active family so that Sister Jarman could say goodbye to them. They are the cutest! Then we did some weekly planning and had dinnner. It was a good day.

Saturday, we had transfer calls! It turns out that I will be leaving Tompkinsville! They are going to be closing the area for a while.😒 I will be going to Jamestown, TN (going back to Tennesse y'all!😁😁) to serve in a trio with Sister McNaughtan and Sister Fitzgerald, which should be intresting haha, but I'm super excited to see what will happen this next transfer! I'm also sad to say goodbye to the amazing people here in T-ville. After transfer Calls we went to breakfast with JJ and then packed and studied for a bit then went over to a birthday party of one of the members in the branch. After that we headed over to a wedding. Super awkward but it was good. Then we went over with the Hamilton's to hang out with them and watch the fireworks which we ended up leaving earlier than we thought we would. Over all it was a pretty good day though.

Sunday, was a bitter sweet day. It was mostly saying our rounds of goodbyes to people we love. We said goodbye to Sherry Hamilton, Wiltfongs, Mary Milam, Troy and John. (Cliff wasnt home) and our amazing Meninite friends Chuck and Susanna Clawson. Oh my goodness am I going to miss this branch or what? I loved this area so much because it has changed me a lot and I've made some really good friends here. Tompkinsville has been one of my most favorite areas.

I just wanted to say that I know that this church is true and that Jesus Christ lived and died for us so that we can be saved and be forgiven. I love y'all and hope that you have a great week!

Sister Jensen

Hello my sweet family and friends!

I hope that your week was a good week! I know that mine was! I have so many things to talk about in this email so please bare with me haha.. I will try to keep them to a minimum! πŸ˜‰ I don't even know what to start with but I guess I'll just start off with Zone Confrence.

We had Zone Confrence on Tuesday and it was amazing. We talked alot about the Plan of Salvation and Sister Barney (one of the amazing Crossville sisters) talked to us about prayer. It was amazing. It was fun to see so many people I havnt seen in a while. It was crazy to think that on that day was my click day about being 11 months out!

On Saturday and Sunday we were able to have exchanges with the amazing Crossville sisters! I was able to go out with Sister Barney. Oh, what an adventure we had! We were also able to find 5 new investigators in one day! So crazy!

Sunday we had stake confrence and it was really good! It was focused alot on prayer and oh my word it was so fun to see a lot of people from my baby area! I was able to see Sam and Judy there! Sam actually got the melkezdic presthood and Jayjay was also able to recieve it as well! So amazing! I really wanted a picture but I wasnt able to find them afterwords but that is okay.

Well, that is pretty much our week! I love y'all and I hope that you have a safe and amazing week!
