This week has been amazing! Trio life is truly the bomb digity! It is so much fun! Sister Fitzgerald is 16 months out and Sister McNaughtan is only 5 months out! So we have an oldest in between and baby!
Well if y'all havnt figured it out yet we had transfers on Wednesday and I had to say goodbye to my sweet comp Sister Jarman who I spent the best 6 weeks in Tompkinsville with. Sister Jarman has become one of my best friends. Whom I am going to miss so much! But I know that she is home safe with her fam bam!!! After we got back we unpacked alittle and settled in and headed out to sister Tortons to say hello. She is literally the nicest lady I've ever met. She is so sweet. After a while of chatting with her we went over to Christy and Aarons who are very recent converts of a year. They are so funny and I just love them!
Honestly this week has just been trying to figure out how to handle being in a trio because none of us has ever been in one. So, we quote Disney movies all the time and just laugh it out.
Story time!!! On Thursday night I did not feel good at all. I was running on a 100 degree fever and a really sore throat aceing all over but the only problem was that we had district meeting the next day. So, we decided if the fever went down and I was feeling better we would try to go. While I was lying in bed I thought about asking the elders for a blessing if we did go down there. If not then just someone else in this amazing ward, but a mericle happend the next day! I woke up the next morning with out a fever and feeling better than the night before so we were able to head down to Crossville for district meeting. After lunch and district meeting one of the elders in our district Elder Everett called after me and asked if I needed a blessing! With out even me mentioning that I needed one. I asked him how he knew and he said that he just figured he'd ask since I was so sick Thursday night. God really does know when to send the priesthood into our lives.
Friday after district meeting we had a super spiritual lesson with one of our investigators Linda. We were teaching her the restoration and introduced her to the Book of Mormon. We read the intro to the book of Mormon with her and she understood it really well. When we sang the song when I am baptized to her the spirit was there and incredibly strong. She loved it. We asked her to be baptised but she said that she would have to think hard about it. So that was pretty cool.
Saturday we had a pretty cool experince while tracting. We knocked the whole street of Potter St. and no one was intrested but we kept walking to this other st that was right by it and the first house is were we met Lia. Lia was super nice and invited us right in. We were able to invite her to a pioneer day party that our ward was having on the 21. She got so excited and she said "Yeah, my kids will love this! We will definitely come to this!" It was super cool.
On sunday, I had to speak on what covenants did I make at Baptism. My talk went really well. Something really cool happened after sacrament. We were just standing there and I was looking around trying to see if there was someone that I should go talk to that was sitting alone when I came across this man. My feet started walking in his direction. I introduced myself and he introduced himself as well. He said his name was Jeff. We started talking. After we said our goodbyes and after church Sister McNaughtan informed me that we had an investigator at church and I was like who? Who was it? And sure enough it was Jeff!!! What??? It just blew my mind that I had a prompting to go talk to him when there was another person right by him sitting alone!
After church we were able to teach our investigator Carlos. The spirit was strong but oh my goodness it was so awkward! All he said during the lesson was, I geuss, I don't know, I would have to think about it and yeah. Super hard to get him to talk. But thats okay because we soft committed him to baptism!!
Well guys thats it for this week. I hope that yuns had a wonderful 4th of july week and that you will have a safe and amazing week this week!! I love and miss you all!!
Love,
Sister Jensen.
Scripture of the week:
Mosiah 18:10 "Now I say unto you, if this be the desire of your hearts, what have you against being baptized in the name of the Lord, as a witness before him that ye have entered into a covenant with him, that ye will serve him and keep his commandments, that he may pour out his Spirit more abundantly upon you? 11 And now when the people had heard these words, they clapped their hands for joy, and exclaimed: This is the desire of our hearts."
Quotes of the week:
